Do you live in or near Middletown, Odessa or Dover? Are you in the market for a car, specifically the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe? If so, Winner Hyundai is here to help you. Over the years, we have become known for our in-depth car reviews. Many of these reviews have helped customers make final decisions on the perfect vehicles for them.

Many of our customers come to Winner Hyundai with questions about safety features. While some cars' safety features leave something to be desired, the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe is not one of them. We recently inspected the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe safety features. We found them more than adequate, and we know you will as well.

Safety Features at a Glance

The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe safety features are impressive. Previous models have performed well in crash tests, netting good ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) and Independent Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). In fact, this model has garnered a Top Safety Pick+ in the past. This makes it not only a resilient model but one of the most secure in its class. The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe safety features also include a backup camera. This is part of a May 2018 initiative to ensure all vehicles, no matter their make and model, have backup cameras on board.

Several airbags come standard on the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, protecting the front and rear seats. Child LATCH points with anchors and tethers are included in the second and third rows. The Santa Fe's doors provide plenty of space for an average-sized infant carrier, and the LATCH points are easily accessible from the front or rear should you need them. The Santa Fe's third row gives your kids extra seating space, legroom, and headroom. Not only does this reduce cramping, but it helps your kids feel secure in case of a sudden stop or fender bender.

Other Safety Features

Active technological safety features do not come standard on the Santa Fe. Winner Hyundai did, however, like the myriad optional safety features present. We recommend the automated emergency braking, rear cross-traffic monitor and forward collision warning options. Blind spot monitoring makes it easier and safer to drive at night. Parking sensors and lane-keeping assist help you maneuver safely through heavy traffic and keep an eye out for other cars and pedestrians in tight parking spots.

While infotainment is not often considered a safety feature, you may find some infotainment features enhance your security. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay work seamlessly with your smartphone. Although real-time weather and traffic are optional for the Santa Fe, you will be able to access these reports hands-free on your devices. Bluetooth capabilities allow you to keep in touch with family and colleagues while on the road, without breaking your driving concentration.

We appreciate that voice command comes standard as one of the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe safety features. Sometimes, controlling your car involves much more than steering and keeping inside your lane. You might need your hands for emergency matters, such as making sure your child did not squirm out of their seatbelt. For that, voice command is excellent.
